Excited about Jesus!

The sign may say Baptist, but all denominations and faiths are welcome. At Emmanuel it isn't about religion, it's about a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We aren't quiet Baptists, either. Some have jokingly called us "Bapticostals", because we praise the Lord with singing and shouting...and if you feel like running the aisles, that's ok, too. But if you'd rather sit quietly, worshiping privately, that's also just fine.

At Emmanuel you'll find a warm and caring church, a congregation that shows the love of Christ, and one that believes strongly in the power of prayer.

Whether you are looking for a home church or just visiting the area, we welcome you to attend any of our services - Sunday morning small group Bible study (Sunday School) at 9:45, Sunday morning worship at 11:00, Sunday evening worship at 6:00 or Wednesday evening Bible Study at 7:00.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our services are led by the Holy Spirit. We don't have a written Order of Service...of course we have a "normal" schedule of prayer, music, announcements, a message, and closing with prayer, but we aren't afraid to "go with the flow". Many times our services have been changed from what was planned at the last minute... we want God to have His way in our services, however the Lord leads.

What is the community like?
A warm and welcoming congregation. Our dress code is "decent", not too revealing. Come as you are is fine...work clothes (yep, even a farmer straight from the field), casual dress, or all decked out. Whatever your Sunday best is, God isn't looking at your clothes, but at your heart. And we should be doing the same. You'll see lots of smiles, handshakes and hugs throughout the church.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Everyone is welcome, Christian or not. We believe the Bible is God's Holy Word, inspired by Him, but penned by man. Our leaders preach and teach the Bible, nothing added, nothing taken away. If you're looking for a church that preaches feel good, ear-tickling, prosperity sermons, we probably aren't for you. But if you're looking to get into God's Word, to learn of His teachings, to draw closer to Him, to know the love of a church family...then we ARE what you're looking for. Just remember, you don't go to a hospital to visit healthy folks. And you don't go to church to sit with only God's chosen. We are all sinners, saved by Grace. We all have a past, we all need a Savior, and we all are striving to become better Christians, and better human beings.
