• I remember when I was very young and I lived on Brenda Lane the curtain's were Blue crush velvet and the pastor was a small light skinned black man and my mother was baptized and I cried but then I wanted to get baptized too. But my mother made me wait until I was older. I love this memory and cherish it so. I never even realized that I was not the same color as the rest of the congregation and no one treated me any different. The first time I even thought of it was when my mom passed away 48yrs later . I am proud to be her daughter and proud to have such wonderful friends in our lives ty brothers and sisters from Old Dixie hwy Baptist Church
