What people say about CrossRoads Community Church of Naples

  • I used to go to Crossroads as a kid when I moved down to Naples, and it was my favorite church that I went to. As an autistic person with sensory sensitivity, finding a place that isn't overwhelming is really important, and this church was awesome. The overall atmosphere is very calm and down-to-earth, the music isn't too loud or overpowering, the pastor's voice is loud enough to hear but not so loud that you get overstimulated, and the buildings are pretty small and easy to navigate. I can't really comment much on the vibe of the people themselves except that I, personally, never felt shunned, overlooked, or micro-managed. This is a church you can go to and worship however you prefer to, you are not required to pray out loud or sing during worship, being friendly with others is encouraged but again, not required, and it's chill enough that it's not a big deal if you have to get up and leave during the service for whatever reason. The bathrooms are clean and quiet, there's a crying room with a tinted window and sound system so you don't miss the sermon, and I'm not sure if it's still the case in 2021 but when I went there, there was always someone who made cookies or brownies or some other baked good for everyone, and usually water, coffee, and lemonade, which made waking up early Sunday morning absolutely worth it. Can't guarantee you'll have options if you have dietary restrictions, though. Overall, this was a very nice church to attend and I recommend popping in for a service whether it's a one-time thing or if you're looking for a church to become a member of.
