What people say about Crossfire Church

  • I loved that you, used to, be a church that encouraged my mother's attendance & gladly accepted her offerings, small as they may have been. She faithfully attended, gave, invited her family, and participated in the church. Ten years ago, when her husband died of cancer all throughout his body, likely due to agent orange exposure while serving in the US Army in Vietnam, I feel your church failed my mother. Whether she was a willing participant, or not, your small church that she attended, even after Deborah left Happy Church because she preferred your services, no one reached out to care about her & all the problems surrounding the death of her husband of 50 years. If ministry is our goal as followers of Jesus then it also should be locally handled as well as internationally. I asked to be added back to get you mailings but, truthfully, my Mom needed fellow believers to lift her in spirit & in prayers but a phone call, or a visit down the street (literally) could have been a very kind & compassionate attempt. I'm sorry to say these things because she loved worship services & her & my dad made lovely ribbons to dance along; I loved coming & singing along with your daughter & my sister even started coming & we certainly ALL wanted to become more involved in your church family. I'm disappointed in this ministry because y'all dropped the ball while trying to prove how utterly important overseas ministries are & neglecting a much needed ministry to a hurting member of your church. Mom is worse for wear, now more than ever. Our family is in trouble, now more than ever, & not one time did my mom feel cared-for or comforted by anyone from your church without walls. It hurts me to say these things because I bought your book, "Crowns," we each did & I loved it but people matter here, locally. My mom matters to me & thank God we can reach out to our Savior directly & we've managed without Crossfire Ministries assistance. Life happens & things come-up in every family so I'm not here to judge why or your reasons that led to to disconnect with my family; I just wish you to finally understand how discouraging it's been for us to trust churches to even begin attending again. Prayers to lift-up your ministry to do the right thing for tithing members. God bless your family &, again, I am truly sorry that my heart felt led to express my feelings over a 10+ year old matter...
