About Us

Our Mission Statement: To love God and to love people!

We are a Southern Baptist Church that is dedicated to reaching the hearts of people with the Word of God for the Glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our Mission is to Love God, love people, to be faithful to preach and teach the Word of God, and to make disciples who make disciples. Our congregation averages between 30 to 40 people on any given Sunday morning, but is filled with some of the most loving people the City of Slidell has to offer. We have Sunday School at 9:30 AM for all age groups, a Nursery is available for infants and toddlers, and offer Children's Church during our Worship Service for ages 4 to 9 years old. We are located at 890 Robert Blvd. directly across from Domino's Pizza and we meet every Sunday morning for our worship at 10:30 AM and again at 5:30 PM for our Discipleship Training for men and women. Our midweek service is at 7 PM on Wednesdays for children to adults.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our Services are loving, friendly, but yet compassionate about presenting Scripture accurately and in a way that applies to our lives today. Visitors may walk in strangers but never leave that way, our congregation is very warm and welcoming. Our Music is a blend of traditional and contemporary striving to provoke the hearts of all to sing and make melody to the LORD. Our dress is mostly casual, you would feel comfortable wearing a suit or wearing jeans, we are more interested in your hearts and your spiritual growth than what type of your clothes you wear.

What is the community like?
Covenant Baptist Church is located in the heart of Slidell with Slidell on our hearts. Our membership is made up of all age groups, but our most outstanding features are our love for God, our love for each other, and our love for Scripture. You will find us to be a Church full of people who will love you right where you are, and desire only your spiritual best!

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you are not a Christian our hearts desire is that you would become one! This happens only when a person truly recognizes they have sinned against God, when they become sorry towards God for what they have done, and they place their faith in the Lord Jesus asking Him and Him alone to forgive them and save them. If you are not a Christian then our hope IS that you will come and visit us on Sundays, and if possible stay and talk with someone after the service who will show you from the Bible how to have your sins forgiven and be "saved." But please come and visit us, we are not a Church that pressures people to make a "Profession of Faith," we are a community of believers who desire you to have "Possession of True Biblical Faith!"

We are a very loving and family oriented Church. We have a Youth Group that meets every Wednesday night and we have Childrens church as well as Sunday School for all ages. Please come by and visit us. We would love to welcome you to our Church Family

Pastor Robby is both humble and bold in his preaching, and is definitely dedicated to scripture as the primary source of spiritual wisdom. I know very few men with such a passion and understanding of scripture as Pastor Robby, which I can only attribute to his many hours spent in the word alone. We no longer live in Slidell, but I would definitely recommend this church to anyone who is looking for a solid new testament church.
