Since deciding to follow Christ life has been a great adventure. Two years after making that radical decision I was attending Eastern Mennonite University studying pastoral ministries. Upon completing my second year of college I married Sherri, my high school sweetheart. When I graduated from college in 1989 we headed off to St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands to work in an institutional foster home called Queen Louise Home for Children. We returned in 1991 and began to attend Cornerstone Church in Rockingham County, Virginia. It was there that God began to do a deep work in our hearts and to clarify our next season of ministry. In 1992 we were commissioned to lead a new church plant in Augusta County. That same year we welcomed our first child, Jonathan, into our family and two years later our daughter, Hope, would be born. When not studying for a sermon or leading my gifted ministry staff, I enjoy sports, fitness training, fishing, woodworking and riding the roads with my wife on our Harley Davidson.
