  • what do I love about this church ? Short answer is Nothing - My wife and I were looking for a Christian Home and had been attending the Church of Christ in Conneaut. Let me tell you about our last day. They put an image of slaves on the screen and the message was - Slaves should be fearful and obedient to their Masters. This is the same message that the southerners used to justify slavery. I could not believe that this mind set existed in my home town!! So that was our last day. Now looking forward - My wife died in June of last year and her son who was a friend of the pastor wanted that pastor to speak at her funeral. During the visitation this pastor ( who will remain nameless) but he knows who he is shall remain nameless jokes with me about my dead wife's underwear. then again the same day at the funeral he confronts me in front of my very good Amish friend about the leapord underwear . This is not a time to make jokes . I resisted the urge to lay him out right then. Then at the grave side he mentioned it again. I don't know how any one can accept this guy
    their spiritual leader.
