About Us

"Changing lives to change the world."

Command Baptist Church is a conservative, Independent Baptist church. It was established by followers of Christ who believed the church should follow the Lord's commission as stated in Matthew 28:18-20. Rev. John Siceloff was the founding pastor. The church was founded on the principle that the church should carry the Gospel of Christ into the world and make disciples of every nation. Command Baptist is a loving group of people who wants to minister to the Statesville community and reach beyond its borders to the entire world. We believe in the inspiration of Scripture, the reality of Heaven and Hell, and that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven. We are conservative in our beliefs and compassionate toward people.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our services are a blend of traditional music and some praise and worship. Every 4th Sunday is Youth and Children's Sunday. During this time, the children stay in the services and participate in ushering, taking the offering, singing, etc. Our pastor is an expositor of the Word. He preaches through books of the Bible a chapter or paragraph at a time. Sometimes he preaches in series. A typical service would include 3-4 hymns or choruses, a choir special and special music by an individual or group. The message from our Pastor would follow and an invitation to accept Christ or make a spiritual decision would be given at the end.

What is the community like?
We are in a rural community in western Iredell County of North Carolina. The church is about a mile from West Iredell High School and Middle School. We are setttled in a beautiful area, especially during the fall and spring of the year when the colors are at their best.

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you are not a Christian, we invite you to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. It is as easy as ABC. A - admit that you are a sinner, (Rom. 3:10,23). As a sinner, you cannot save yourself. B - believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay your sin debt so you can spend eternity with Him in Heaven, (Rom. 5:8; 2Cor. 5:21). He paid a debt He did not owe because we had a debt we could not pay. C - confess your sins to God and the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, (Acts 20.21; Rom. 10:9-10,13). "Whosever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." D - do it now! Today is the day of salvation! (2Cor. 6:2).
