Steve Martinez

Pastor Steve was raised in a Christian home but did not receive Jesus as his own Savior until he was a senior in high school. The following summer, while at youth camp, he surrendered to the Lord’s call on his life to be involved in full time ministry. That fall he moved to Oklahoma City and enrolled at Heartland Baptist Bible College. While at Heartland he met his wife Tarah and they were married in 2001. At that time he began working with his father at Rocky Mountain Bible Baptist Church in Longmont. For three years he served as youth director and music director before returning to Oklahoma. In 2007 Pastor Steve accepted the invitation to become the youth pastor at Faith Bible Baptist Church in Greeley. During his time there the Lord began working on his heart about pastoring. The Lord eventually led Pastor Steve and his family to move to the Boulder Valley and plant Coal Creek Baptist Church. Pastor Steve and Tarah have now been married for 11 years and have been blessed with two children, Trevor (9) and Stacy (6), and one on the way around Thanksgiving.
