Genuine Worship
We believe genuine worship is God-centered and should honor His Son Jesus Christ. At Clear Lake Baptist Church you can worship in a comfortable, non-threatening atmosphere. You’ll enjoy a blend of both contemporary and traditional music designed for all ages.

Biblically Relevant Teaching
We believe the Bible is God’s Word and has the answers for people in today’s troubled world. We take it at face value and seek to share practical messages that are understandable to all. At Clear Lake Baptist Church you’ll hear the timeless truths of Scripture applied to real life issues.

Small Group Bible Studies

We believe that Christianity is a way of life – not just learning facts. Our small groups enable people to put into practice and apply the truth learned from God’s word. These groups meet regularly and form the heartbeat of our church. They are the place where lasting friendships are born and personal growth is fostered.

A Continual Focus on Jesus Christ
He is the ultimate reason why we are confident your life can be different. Clear Lake Baptist Church will point you to the One who died for sinners and arose from the grave to give us new life! No, we aren’t perfect people; we’re real people who have discovered the abundant life found in knowing the Son of God personally. We invite you to join His family!

What are services like?
Our services are a blend of contemporary and traditional. This is a church that loves to sing and we have several specials each Sunday. You can expect to hear the Word of God preached verse by verse, chapter by chapter.

What is the community like?
Enjoy the fellowship of other loving believers that will truly care about you. Our programs are designed to foster an environment where people can get to know each other and build friendships and accountability.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Think about your answers to these two questions: 1. “If you were to die right now, do you know for sure that you would go to heaven?” Is your answer an absolutely certain “Yes!” or no? Try this second question: 2. “Why should God let you into heaven?” If your answer is something like the answers below: “I’m a pretty good person.” “I was baptized.” “I go to church sometimes.” “I’m not a sinner.” Then you’ve been trusting in the wrong things. If what you are believing is not true, would you like to know? Keep reading to see what the Bible has to say about this. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) As you can see, this says that everyone has sinned, which would include you. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23) As you read for yourself, this says that the result of our sin is death, but God gives life through Jesus Christ, who is God the Son. (Titus 2:13-24, Romans 9:5, Colossians 2:8-9) Did you notice the word SIN? This reminds us that there is no “s” at the end of the word. God says that one sin will send me to hell. In the Bible, death often refers to hell. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8) Jesus died in your place to pay for your sin and mine! “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, lest anyone should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9) We are saved through faith in what Christ did on the cross NOT by good works. “Christ died for our sins…He was buried…He rose again the third day, according to the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:3) So, how can you be saved? “For "whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved."” (Romans 10:13) “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord.” And believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9-10) Do you want forgiveness of sin? Do you believe Jesus, God the Son, died on the cross for your sins and rose again? Are you willing to put your trust in Jesus Christ? You can receive Christ right now by faith through prayer. (Prayer is just talking with God. He is not so concerned with your words, He knows your heart.) “Heavenly Father, I am sorry for my sin and need your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sin and rose again. I give you my life to do with as you wish. I trust in you as my Lord to save me. Amen.” If You Have Received Christ 1. Your sins were forgiven. (Colossians 1:14) 2. You were saved from an eternity in hell. (Romans 10:12) 3. You become a child of God (John 1:12) 4. You received eternal life (John 5:24) 5. Jesus has received you. (John 6:37b) Suggestions To Help You Grow In Your Christian Life 1. Share your experience with others. (Mark 5:19, Matthew 10:32) 2. Attend a Bible-believing church. (Psalm 122:1) 3. Be baptized (Acts 2:41) 4. Talk to God in prayer daily (John 15:7) 5. Read God’s Word daily (John 15:7) 6. Obey God moment by moment (John 14:21) 7. Be a witness for Christ in our life and your words (Matthew 4:19) 8. Trust God for everything in your life (1 Peter 5:7) 9. Allow the Holy Spirit to control and empower your daily life and witness (Galatians 5:16-17, Acts 1:8) 10. If you sin, confess it to God (1 John 1:9) Now that you've made a decision, share it with us.
