Church of the Nativity

About Us

Christian, Traditional, welcoming, animal friendly, LGBT, inclusive

Church of the Nativity is an Episcopal parish in the stunning purple mountains majesty of the American West.
Our historic building, once a grammar school, sits near the red rock canyons and monoliths of the Colorado National Monument in Grand Junction.
If you're in our parking lot at dusk, you'll likely see the deer family that lives in our woods and hear our nearest neighbor, a Great Horned Owl.
Everyone is welcome at Nativity. We love kids, grandparents, divorced people, LGBT, companion animals, and the biosphere.
If God loves you, so do we.
And there isn't anyone God doesn't love.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Church of the Nativity has a traditional Episcopalian service, following the Holy Eucharist Rite II. There is communion every Sunday, and all believers are welcome to participate. You will find our service rooted in the strengths of the past, but always with an eye to the future; our aim is to be God's hands in the world.

What is the community like?
We are warm, welcoming, and ready to make you part of our church family!

What if I'm not a Christian?
While we are a Christian church, we realize that every faith journey is unique. You won't find judgement here - just a caring community of other travelers on the faith road.
