From the church's website: "Our communityThe Church of the Advent Hope is a diverse Christian community comprised of individuals that seek to love God, each other and the greater community of New York City. Our church is a part of a worldwide community of Seventh-day Adventists. We share a love for Jesus and a commitment to demonstrating and spreading the good news of His transforming love to our neighborhoods, the city of New York, and the world. We warmly welcome all, and invite you to join us in our journey of learning, worshiping, serving, and growing. Our beliefs We believe God is a a personal God who loves the world. We believe God came to earth as Jesus, a man who lived in the first century. We believe Jesus lived a life without sin and that his example is one all humanity should aspire to. We believe that in Jesus' death and resurrection humanity has been forgiven from sin and given hope to live a new kind of life. We believe God is calling each person to accept the free gift of God's forgiveness and to live a life empowered by God. We believe that God desires a personal relationship with every person. Conversation - We recognize the limit of our own finite perspective and seek to listen, to share, to understand and to learn from each other.
