    Nathan Martin

Nathan was raised in a pastor's home and knew he was called to the ministry while a teenager. He attended Louisiana College in Pineville, LA before transfering to King's Way Missionary Institute in McAllen, TX. After serving a year as an associate minister at Christian Challenge he moved to southern Mexico to serve as a missionary among indigenous tribes in the states of Oaxaca and Veracruz. He helped establish and/or oversee 13 churches, most of which continue to this day and he continues to provide oversight and leadership development among them. He's ministered in over a dozen nations and enjoys serving on the board of directors of Christians Sharing Christ Film Ministries. In 1990, Nathan, along with his young wife and first child, moved back from Mexico to serve as associate pastor of Christian Challenge, which his father founded in 1976. In 2006 he was installed as Senior Pastor upon his father's retirement, and continues to serve in that role today. Nathan is very active in the community, serving on various boards and volunteering in many organizations. In 2003 he was elected to the Pineville City Council and has been reelected twice (without opposition). He loves serving and making our community a better place to call home. Nathan is very happily married to Lori (nee Chapman) of McAllen, TX and they have 5 children: Joy, Faith, Hope, Viviana and Anderson (the last two of which were adopted from Colombia, South America).
