    Pastor Tony has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Shaw University, an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ (UCC) for 42 years; received both his Master and Doc-toral degrees from Howard University School of Religion with additional studies at Drew University, New York Theological Seminary and the Navy War College. In addi-tion to serving as a local pastor he has also served in administrative positions as Asso-ciate Regional Minister of the Christian Church Disciples of Christ, National Staff of the United Church of Christ, Director of the Religious Program of The Milton Hershey School, and Senior Advisor at The Center for Congregations of Indianapolis, IN. His diverse ministerial career has led him to serve in a variety of pastoral positions; as both full-time and interim pastor within the United Church of Christ, Christian Churches (Disciples of Christ) and Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. His love for ministry in the sea services inspired him to join the United States Navy, where he served both as an active and reserve Chaplain, and retiring in 2005 at the rank of Captain, completing 27 years of military service.After leaving St John’s UCC of Troy, Ohio in 2008, he retired from full-time pastoral ministry. In addition to specialized Intentional Interim Ministry studies with the Interim Ministry Network, he has extensive training in Church Develop-ment, conflict management and conflict mediation. Most recently, Tony completed 34 months of interim ministry with the Lutheran Church of the Covenant, located in Dale City, Virginia following the retirement of their long term pastor. Pastor Tony is married to the former Joanne C. Bryant of Baltimore and live in Edgewater, Maryland where they enjoy being available to their three grandsons and niece. In their leisure, they find pleasure exploring the Chesapeake and traveling the open roads as RV vacationers.
