What are services like?
What To Expect: It is never easy to visit a new church for the first time so we want to be as helpful as we can to make your experience a good one. Let's talk about dress. Some people come casually dressed in t-shirts and jeans, while others come dressed in formal suits. We are a diverse lot! Come dressed the way that you feel most comfortable. worship: This time is set aside for communicating with God from our hearts. Our service comprises of blended worship which means that you will experience live upbeat worship with guitar, keyboard and drums on some occasions and at other times there will be traditional music with the pipe-organ. Everyone worships in their own unique way. For some this may mean clapping or raising of hands, for others it means quietly reflecting on the words. You’re welcome to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable. offering: Each week there is a time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings. As a guest, please do not feel any pressure to give. This is an act of worship for our regular attenders, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work he is doing in their lives. It also gives Christ Community Church the means to show God’s love in tangible ways to others in our community and in the world. the message (sermon): Every weekend, you will hear a message that is based on Scripture and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life. We trust that these messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and provide a strong biblical foundation for your life. communion: Once a month, we celebrate communion together. We invite anyone who has made the decision to love and follow Jesus Christ to participate in this meal of his.The bread and the cup that we share, represent the life that Jesus gave up so that our sins could be forgiven. Together we remember his death, we celebrate his resurrection and we partake of his presence spiritually in our hearts, as we anticipate in hope for his return again. as a guest: As a guest, you'll be asked to fill out a Welcome Card during the service. We encourage you to fill out a card and drop it in the offering plate. This will give you the opportunity to let us know how we can serve you in any way. have some coffee: After the service, join us for some coffee. We would love to get to know you better. life groups: We have a number of life-groups oriented toward Christian growth. Our aim is to become transformed to be more and more like Jesus in what we do and say. We find the Life Groups useful in this goal of transformation. In these groups we can safely learn, share, discuss and explore what it means to follow Jesus, through his Word - the Bible.
