The Promise

About Us

Christ loving Christians that, "Love all, worship One."

Here at The Promise we hold to the sufficiency of scripture. That we are saved by grace and grace alone. We worship the One and Only triune God of the Bible and we take Jesus' commision to create disciples very serious. We believe that Discipleship starts in the home. We love families and therefore families are our mission field. We see the call God has placed on the family unit and we strive to equip and support the families of the church. Helping men to become the men God has called them to be. Men that are able to lead, protect and love their wives and children. Equipping the ladies to be the Proverbs 31 women God has created them to be. Women that know how to support, respect and love their husbands and children. We believe that children are a blessing from the Lord and should be treated as such. We love kids and believe the best way for children to grow and learn is to watch those older then them. We see Jesus calling the kids to Him meaning He taught them right along side of their parents. Keeping the family unit together as they learned and grew in their faith. We take the example Christ laid out and do Sunday morning the same. The Promise is an age integrated church. Our Sunday mornings are geared for family growth together rather then family segregated growth. We "Love all and worship One" here at The Promise. We would love to meet and get to know you so if you are in the Hemet/San Jacinto area please stop by and say hi.

What to Expect

What are services like?
We offer three services, their times are 8:00am, 9:30am and 11:11am Sunday mornings. All three of our services are age integrated, meaning we keep our children with us during all the service. We believe that the family should grow and learn together. So we provide our children with their own sermon worksheet. These worksheets have fun and engaging ways to keeps the kids attention during the service. The worksheets get to go home with the children each week giving the parents a great tool to take what was taught Sunday morning and implement it in the home. We have a Bible Buck store, where the children are able to spend the Bible Bucks they earn each week by bringing back their worksheets completed with parent signature. All three services hear the same sermon each week. The only thing that makes our services different is the style of worship. Our 8:00 service is more of a traditional worship service. Where we sing our praises using many of the classic Hymns, sung with the aid of the piano, organ and occasionally an acoustic guitar. Our 9:30 and 11:11 services are more contemporary. Where we sing our praise using the popular worship songs of today with the aid of a full band complete with guitars, drums and singers.

What is the community like?
We love families and believe that we are all family through Christ. So we live life that way. We believe it takes a village to raise a child. We all understand the struggles and victories of life and the need for people who care about you to go through them with you. We understand the need and call of mentorship and the amazing things that happen when the older men teach the young men and the older women teach the younger women. We try to provide an atmosphere that is comfortable for everyone no matter what season of life they are in. Childhood, young adult, parenthood, empty nester. In a season of victory or struggle. We love all and love to live life with all those God sends to our family.

What if I'm not a Christian?
We would love to meet you and talk with you. No pressure. Answer any questions you might have and hopefully introduce you to the one and only God. The God that loved us enough to come into this world and die for us.
