Our Services

What are services like?
Our services are traditional, yet open and free. We believe in the priesthood of all believers. We respect our elder's wisdom and example. The service usually begins with a half hour of congregational hymns selected from the Hymns of the Church pew book. A brother will then stand and welcome the congregants and possibly read a psalm. He will present the order of worship, and dismiss the 4-10 year-olds for children's Sunday school classes. Another brother will then rise and teach and guide the adult Sunday school discussion. We then close the discussion with a period of open prayer. Followed by the weekly announcements. Following this another brother will rise and deliver a gospel-centered message. When he has completed this, he will call for testimony or responses. We will dismiss with a Benediction and another song from the Hymnal. Tithes are collected privately or placed in the alms box by the entrance.

What is the community like?
We are a group of committed and inter-accountable believers. Living in peace and charity toward all of our fellowmen. Our lifestyle is deliberately simple, choosing rather to focus on the Kingdom Christ and joining Him in the task of reconciling all things to God. We hold a high view of education and artistic endeavors, believing that all people should emulate God's Holy Creativity in all aspects of living.

What if I'm not a Christian?
If you are not a believer, come and search the Word of God with us. We hope you find in it the meaning and light we all crave. We believe that all things need to be under the Love and Lordship of Jesus Christ. We hope you gain a perspective of God and His Kingdom and be refreshed in the Truth of His Goodness.
