What people say about Borinquen Baptist Church

  • My dad, Cecil Allen, was a founding member & helped build the original church. I have pre construction pencil drawing, monthly budget sheets, complete list of founding members & other items. I wondered if you would be interested in having them.

  • In the summer of 1960 I served as a summer youth minister for the church. Charlie Clark was pastor of the English-language congregation, and Enrique Perez was pastor of the Spanish-language congregation. At the time there were lots of young people in the English-language congregation, all of them children of Air Force personnel stationed at Ramey. I loved working with them. The summer was a formative one for me.

  • I was a member from 1959-1961. William Bryant arrived just before I came off active duty. After college I re-entered the pastoral ministry. It was the nearest to Foreign Missions I could have witnessed. I often visited in the home of Enrique Perez, pastor to Spanish speaking people, and later reconnected with him, Lydia, Darlene, and Ricky. I helped one year in VBS for the Puerto Rican congregation. Many fond memories remain.

  • Was a member and Supt. of SS from 1960 thru 1964. Pastor was Charlie Clark until 1961. Howard Bryant followed. Loved the church and our work there. Would love to visit there but age and those hurricanes won't let me.

  • My wife and I visited your church in the early 80s. We were staying with my wife's mom Brunhilda Wiley. Brunie became a Christian thru the missionaries there. The pastor at the time was a big guy named Mac. My wife still has family in the area. We will be praying for you and them. Any information about the damage would be greatly appreciated
