    Chip Hammond

A native of northern New Jersey, Pastor Hammond was converted to Christ as a young adult and discerned God’s call to the gospel ministry seven years later. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in theology from Nyack College, with additional study at William Paterson University and Northeastern Bible College. His Master of Divinity is from Westminster Theological Seminary and he is currently a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. An avid writer, he has contributed to publications such as the Westminster Theological Journal and New Horizons and also secular periodicals. He has served his community as senior chaplain for the Leesburg Police Department and the regional church as Chairman of the Candidates and Credentials Committee of the Presbytery of the Mid-Atlantic. In order to help raise a generation of Christian men, ready to take their place as spiritual leaders in their families and communities, he developed Bethel’s 1T4-8 father and son program. Pastor Hammond lives in Loudoun County with his wife Donna and their four children. When not preaching and teaching, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing drums or disc golf, and working with his hands.
