A United Methodist Church family in Franklinton

We are a small (average attendance 35: 20 adults, 15 children & youth) congregation. Naturally informal, music is eclectic - with a little bit of classical, gospel, rock, and alternative, but leaning toward country/bluegrass...
Some dress fancily, but most dress casually.
We are United Methodists, but not very good at it - better at simply lifting up Jesus Christ in a poverty-stricken community.

Services are informal, low-tech, music mostly tilted toward contemporary, bluegrass, and children's music.

Franklinton is an older neighborhood, mostly vacant homes, population mostly children and young parents without college education, mostly renters and some "unofficial" homeless (living with other families).

What if I'm not a Christian?
You're our kind of person - we're a little suspicious of those "Christians" ourselves...
