About Us

Manistee Assembly of God (M.A.G) is located on the south end of Manistee. It has come to be known as "The Church on the hill with the flags..." behind Kmart.

We are a Bible based church who believe in the full counsel of the Word of God, with a mixture of contemporary and traditional praise and worship.

Currently the church is small with a big vision with a mixture of people of all ages and races, from those interested in a church, new Christians, to those who are very mature in their Christian Growth.

There are many ministries that are offered within the church and through outreach ministries. This is a place where you can be involved, use your talents and giftings, and become a part of a three county wide and a world wide vision.

What to Expect

What are services like?
When you enter the doors of this church you will immediately sense the Love of God through His people. Praise and Worship is a mixture of Contemporary and Traditional spanning all generations. We are always looking for people to include in our worship team, singers, musicians, sound tech, actors and actresses etc. The Pastor is down to earth, extremely creative, bold, challenging and yet makes it the Word of God simple to understand and apply to our daily lives. He will often incorporate, drama, characters, illustrations, video clips, movies, videos that are made and produced within the church, object lessons and the use of people in the congregation to minister to the current and future needs of the church. People love to stay after the service for fellowship and relationship building. We have nursery service and Children's Church on Sunday Mornings. Sunday Evening Service is called Sunday Nights "Be Filled" and is usually a themed service that is often times kept as an open forum of questions, answers, and Bible Study that will take you deeper into the Word of God and help strengthen your spiritual growth. Thursday nights are called Journey to Discovery, which is a night of exploring the Bible and allowing the Holy Spirit to lead, guide and lead you to share what you are learning and discovering.

What is the community like?
The church is full of people from all walks of life. Those who are not Christians, but they are searching out and investigating what it is all about. We have young families, 20 somethings, 30-50 year olds who have grown children, and senior adults. We are multi-cultural and have a love for God and for others.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You are extremely welcome! This is a place to discover Christ. Where people are taught to love and not to judge. Coke-a-Cola has a theme called "Its the Real Thing!" We know that people are looking for "The Real Thing" when it comes to the things of God. We believe that if you are not a Christian and you are searching for the "Real Thing" You'll find it here and you will get excited about it when you do.
