    John Harris

I was born on August 15, 1962 in Mansfield , Ohio. My life started out on a bad note. At the age of 2 my mother left my biological father. I never met him until I was 17 yrs. old and was leaving for boot camp in 1980. My mother married the man who I always considered my father, who adopted me when he married my mother. I was raised Jewish and even learned Hebrew and at the age of 13 had my Bar Mitzvah. Even in those days of growing up I knew that something was missing in my life. My life became very unmanageable after joining the military. While being stationed in Hawaii, I started drinking heavily and missing formations. While home on leave I went AWOL and was arrested and escorted back to Hawaii. Then I was sent to the Philippines and was only on base for a few hours and went AWOL there also. I was sentenced to 6 months in a military prison. For the next 20 yrs. on and off I spent a lot of time in prison. For such things as Forgery, Theft and Receiving Stolen Property and probation violations. It was not until my last incarceration that I realized what was missing in my life. It was the LOVE OF JESUS!!! Since that day in 1992 when I accepted the Lord Jesus into my life I have lived my life as according to his word and spread his message to all that would listen as to how his GRACE is sufficient to all sinners as long as they will confess they are sinners and accept him into their hearts. I enjoy sharing the word of the Lord to all and I also enjoy motorcycle riding, so I combined the two as to the Lord's leading. I go out to Secular motorcycle events and witness to the hard-core bikers. In 2007 the Lord spoke to me about starting a Biker oriented church that will spread the Gospel to the Bikers but also to those who do not ride. We also have a Prison ministry where I go back into the prisons to share the love of Christ Jesus. We are members of C.O.P.E. and the International Network of Prison Ministries. I strive everyday to live my life for the Lord and to live it according to my favorite verse II Corinthians 5; 17. Praise be to God !! Sr. Pastor John (Preacherman) Harris
