Amissville United Methodist Church
About Us
Amissville United Methodist Church is located in lovely rural Rappahannock County. We are a Bible preaching church, believing that the Bible is the Word of God to be used as a map of how we are to live. We have programs to feed the hungry--Friday's Table and Share Foods. We have a breakfast the third Saturday of every month. Everyone is invited. We have Joseph's Closet to provide items to those who cannot afford to buy them--toiletries, laundry detergent, coats, shoes, and some clothes. We have vacation Bible school in the summer for community youth. The United Methodist women have a bazaar in November to help people shop for Christmas. Items include crafts, home baked items, jellies and jams and fresh pecans. Money from the bazaar is used to fund mission programs. The United Methodist men make apple butter in October. The money from this project is used for mission projects. We are a church that reaches out to the needs of our community, the state, our country, and the world. We welcome all to come and worship with us.
