About Us

An Episcopal Church part of the Anglican Communion

Dearly Beloved,

God’s peace in the name of the Jesus Christ! It is indeed my joy to extend our welcome and hospitality to you as you explore our All Hallows’ Parish website. As you work your way through the pages of our website, you will discover that All Hallows’ is a church where all people are welcomed in Christ’s name. Our goal as a parish is to embody God’s love for the world through our worship, fellowship, education, mission and outreach. Jesus says, “I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10b) We seek this abundant life of grace and truth in our common life and ministry. Our parishioners respond to God’s call seriously by giving their time, talents, and treasures for the sake of the Kingdom of God. Some of us devote our time in assisting in worship or sharing our musical gifts. Many parishioners attend the Rector's Forums, retreats, and special spiritual development programs offered regularly. Some of us share our skills and expertise in nurturing and guiding the children and youth, who are both the future and the present of our church. Others meet God in serving at the Monday Foodbank, supporting the Lighthouse Shelter in Annapolis and volunteering at various other mission and outreach projects. And many others serve to ensure our parishioners have fellowship opportunities in the Men’s Breakfast, Ladies’ High Tea, and All Hallows’ Happy Hour. So come and worship with us. Taste and see that the Lord is good. I look forward to greeting you in person. May God's abundant blessings be with you!

What to Expect

What are services like?
The 8:00AM Sunday service at our Chapel location is Holy Communion according to the Book of Common Prayer (Holy Eucharist: Rite I). The service is normally said, without hymns or other music, but always includes a sermon. A printed bulletin is available providing all information about the order of service, including page numbers in the Book of Common Prayer where the complete texts can be found. The 10:30AM Sunday service at our Brick Church location is Holy Communion according to the Book of Common Prayer (Holy Eucharist: Rite II. The liturgy is sung and includes hymns for the congregation and anthems and motets by our outstanding Choir. A printed bulletin is available providing all information about the order of service, including page numbers in the Book of Common Prayer and hymn numbers in the Hymnal where the complete texts and music can be found.

What is the community like?
The people of All Hallows are a diverse and active group who share a love of the Lord along with a commitment to serving each other and our community. We describe our Parish as a place where you will find traditional liturgy, lectionary-based preaching, and strong Christian education, along with family fellowship. We are an inclusive family who gather at a Table where there is always room for one more - for you and your family. We invite you to join us at All Hallows in doing just that in the worship of God.
