What people say about Abundant Life Church

  • I tried to send an email but it never said it was sent. Here's my message:Hello. I am inquiring about the U.P.C. in High Island. What in this world has happened to it? I have looked up every bit of information of it online and see nothing but a phone number. Nothing else about it. I visited it once about 15 years ago and there were maybe 3 people there with an elderly pastor and his wife. I know many people that live in Crystal Beach including my Son and The Lord God only knows how lost the people are that live there. I have been praying for years for God to raise up a Church there, as I know what it's like to be lost and live on a beach. Back in 1975 I received a miraculous experience with God from a little Church in Port Isabel,Tx. that God decided to use to pour out His Spirit. Shortly after the pastor and his family moved away, we moved also and it took me 5 years to find God again like I had found him in Port Isabel. This time in a U.P.C in Aransas Pass,Tx.(Apostolic Temple- Rev. R.W. Smith) It greives my heart and absolutely must greive God that His people are willing to just hide while a community so close by would receive nothing but Pentecostal visitors on vacation. No Apostolic Church even listed with a website in this day and age we live in. No burden from across the ferry to hold services one time a month on the Beach, or maybe in someone's home that may go to Church in Galveston? I feel the same way about the Church in Brownsville. It seems everyone that has a big church to go to in their own home town has no burden for a community in their back yard. (Port Isabel in their case) And NEVER has! I'm so sorry to sound as if I'm blaming anyone. I just don't understand how churches can actually love Him without reaching out in ministry to places that don't and have NEVER had a church. We have so many tools available to us now days. Social media, bible studies, home groups, and yet people will travel from Crystal Beach or Port Isabel to go to church in Galveston or Brownsville. This is so disheartening. Please forgive me for sounding judgemental as I do not know if fact if people even go to church from there, or the Church in High Island is doing well with ministries and outreach to Crystal Beach. All I know for sure, is that there is not any kind of structure or successful outreach going on for the people that live in Crystal Beach or Port Isabel. I have family in both places and go every year. I see and hear nothing. God help us. And please help me pray for these places. We're so willing to pray for Home Missions or Foreign Missions, but right here in our own back yard, not a ministry to be found. Again, I'm sorry for the rant. I just wonder where we're going to stand at judgement as we rejoiced while others close by were sinking without a lifeline.
    Kind Regards,
    Cynthia Miles
