The Barna Group released a fascinating study this week which detailed how attitudes about homosexuality and same-sex marriage have shifted in the last decade, breaking out their report among people of various faith. Among the most consequential findings are dramatic changes in how Catholics and Protestants have changed their views on the definition of marriage. Catholics in particular demonstrated some of the most sizable shifts in their attitudes about homosexuality. The research firm also found that unlike members of most faith communities, evangelicals are “one group that has become more resistant toward LGBTQ concerns on several fronts.”
