“When we talk about war, that I think part of Republicans problems and frankly to tell you the truth some in the evangelical Christian movement I think have appeared too eager for war.

“. . .When I read the New Testament, when I read about Jesus, he wasn’t really involved with a war of his days. In fact people rebuked him for not being the king they wanted.

“. . . .We’re talking about ‘blessed are the peacemakers’ not ‘blessed are the warmakers.’ That doesn’t mean that we don’t have a strong national defense but we should be, at least I think the Republican Party needs to be the party that is a reluctant party to go to war who believes in a strong national defense because it’s a prevention of war not because it allows us to go and be involved in war everywhere and we’ve got to have boots on the ground.”

-Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (R)
in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody.

Well,, Again it is a shame the Rand Paul still believes that government has the power to force women to die of pregnancy for the glory of “god”.

Wonder how he can support the man named Jesus in his call for “peacemakers” and continue to ignor the teachings of Jesus regarding the use of force to make someone follow “god’s” law.

And Jesus said “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”

You obviously didn’t read the article at all.

Rand Paul was saying that Repubs need to be LESS eager to go to war, MORE for peace.

Instead of jumping in and attacking Rand Paul, maybe you should actually listen to what he says.

Evangelicals pray and hope for the end times. What better way then an all out nuclear war! Then the rest of get to fry forever and they get to go to heaven and praise and worship the big J forever!

Too bad, this guy Paul doesn’t know how it works.
