Rick Santorum: Obama imposing his values on ‘people of faith’

[President Obama’s] personal faith is none of my concern. What is my concern is the values he’s trying to impose on people of faith. And that’s exactly what he did with respect to this HHS regulation.”

-Rick Santorum in a March 1st interview with Bill O’Reilly.

Republican presidential candidate, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, gestures as he speaks to a Santorum rally in Oklahoma City, Sunday, March 4, 2012.

President Obama has complyed with the Constitution fully. Ricky should read the Constitution and ask questions. Why would anyone in elected government office want to bring their religion into our government?

  • mongrelscribe

Will this guy just lose already. I think we’re all ready for Santorum to disappear back into the frothy mix of obscurity and crap he came from.

  • thomasmc1957

Rick Santorum: because shouldn’t it be the POPE who gets to decide what “religious freedom” means for all Americans?

  • david6

I guess that Rick thinks a foreign power has the right to tell this country what to do.

Anyway, I see no morality coming from his religion, or the political leader whose ring he kisses.

    Beyond Obama and Santorum:

The Brutal Effects of Stupidity: ———>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

: The failures of the widely used birth “control” methods i.e. the Pill ( 8.7% failure rate) and male con-dom (17.4% failure rate) have led to the large rate of abortions and S-TDs in the USA. Men and women must either recognize their responsibilities by using the Pill or co-ndoms properly and/or use safer methods in order to reduce the epidemics of abortion and S-TDs.- Failure rate statistics provided by the Gut-tmacher Inst-itute. Guttmacher has listed these safer methods in their on-line reviews. Doubling up i.e. Pill plus condom or mutual masturbation are not listed but should be.

Added information before making your next move:

    from the CDC-2006

“Se-xually transmitted diseases (STDs) remain a major public health challenge in the United States. While substantial progress has been made in preventing, diagnosing, and treating certain S-TDs in recent years, CDC estimates that approximately 19 million new infections occur each year, almost half of them among young people ages 15 to 24.1 In addition to the physical and psy-ch-ological consequences of S-TDs, these diseases also exact a tremendous economic toll. Direct medical costs as-sociated with STDs in the United States are estimated at up to $14.7 billion annually in 2006 dollars.”

    And from:

    Consumer Reports, January, 2012

“Yes, or-al se-x is se-x, and it can boost cancer risk-

Here’s a crucial message for teens (and all se-xually active “post-teeners”: Or-al se-x carries many of the same risks as va-ginal se-x, including human papilloma virus, or HPV. And HPV may now be overtaking tobacco as the leading cause of or-al cancers in America in people under age 50.

“Adolescents don’t think or-al se-x is something to worry about,” said Bonnie Halpern-Felsher professor of pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco. “They view it as a way to have intimacy without having ‘s-ex.’” (It should be called the Bill Clin

This is a meaningless criticism. Any policy stance can be viewed as imposing values.

  • catatonicjones

How dare Obama impose his values on others, that’s Rick’s job!

  • dcrswm

As opposed to Rick’s plan to impose faith on people of value

  • usapdx

In the USA the supreme law is the Constitution. This pope has his own nation, the Vatican even though he from his previous office started the ” DON’T GIVE COMMUNION TO KERRY ” movement when Kerry was running against Bush by his two memos to the American cardinal. Ricky should read the Constitution and ask questions.

Thank you it is always nice to get a virgin’s POV.

  • northernharrier

For Rick Santorum, of all people, to accuse anyone else of trying for push their religion on others, is the height of hypocrisy. He needs to take a good, honest look in the mirror.

From the Wikipedia. Another type of god resume. Mark Zuckerberg. “At Ardsley High School, Zuckerberg had excelled in the classics before transferring to Phillips Exeter Academy in his junior year, where he won prizes in science (math, astronomy and physics) and classical studies (on his college application, Zuckerberg listed as non-English languages he could read and write: French, Hebrew, Latin, and ancient Greek) and was a fencing star and captain of the fencing team.[15][17][18][19] In college, he was known for reciting lines from epic poems such as The Iliad.[17]”

Does anyone know “under god” and “in god we trust” anyone that can match this forensically, scientifically.

In addition, the Common English Bible has more books than any single Bible Binding of Books that I know of. 84 books, 83 written by Jews.

I need confirmation about all this. So far no one has said these facts are wrong.

I can read Hebrew enough to use my Siddur learning Hebrew and apply it to the Common English Bible. But that’s all about me and my owning of the bible. We need more documentation from all Presidential candidates about the Common English bible. Would they choose it for their kids and grandkids? Wouldn’t this Tikkun Olam. Suppose this Bible existed for the Jewish and Arab Tribes in movable type back in 70CE?

In addition I know for a fact that many Jews who pride themselves on speaking Hebrew in the USA, don’t even know that The Trope Trainer is available to even the working poor. This is the exquisite scientific statistically correct Safer Torah that I used to know only by kissing the garments enclosing it. No more of that stupidity in the 21st Century. If a high school USA Junior in high school can read the original documents, then why can’t even Doctor of Divinity? Can Presidential Santorum do this. This bible has even more books than the Catholic Bible. It unites all Christians as far as I’m concerned. 4 Maccabees which I don’t know that even Spinoza knew. That makes me pret
