About Us
We are The Yoked Parish of Becket which includes the First Congregational Church of Becket and the Becket Federated Church. Both churches are members of the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches (NACCC), The Fellowship of Northeast Congregational Christian Churches(FNCCC), and The Mountain Congregational Association(MCA). Jointly we serve the communities of Becket and Washington Massachusetts and the surrounding area bringing Christ to His people through worship and outreach.
Our worship services are a blend of both traditional and contemporary worship that appeals to all age groups. Please join us on Sunday morning when you are in the area. Worship at First Congregational is at 9 a.m. and at Becket Federated Church at 11 a.m. The first Sunday of the month we meet together for a Service of Communion at 10 a.m. as well as the months of July and August. Ms. Darryl McGrath, Albany, N.Y.I left a phone message for the pastor on the church phone June 22, 2021. I would appreciate a call back, please. I am seeking information about a memorial service held in 2019 for William Burke-Archer, a Berkshires native, and his daughter Elizabeth Burke-Archer, age 35. Elizabeth was my cousin and I had not seen her in many years; it was not possible to maintain contact with her once her mother died and her father had sole custody of her. I just learned about her death, and it is not possible for me to contact her aunt or other family members. I am trying to find out what happened here; apparently, the father and Elizabeth died on the same day, so it sounds as though it was as car accident, a structure fire or some other sudden tragedy.
