St. Matthews Anglican Church

About Us

Focus on Discipleship: knowing, growing, going in Christ!

We are an orthodox Anglican congregation, looking to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ radically and sacrificially, empowered and gifted by the Holy Spirit. We believe the Bible is the Word of God, and therefore the rule of our lives. We believe in Christ's necessary and satisfactory substitutionary atonement for a believer's sins. We believe that we are called to make disciples of Christ. We accept the ancient Creeds and the 39 Articles as faithful statements of faith.

What to Expect

What are services like?
It is a time of celebration and transformation. In the framework of a traditional liturgy we have moments of praise and thanksgiving to God, of hearing and responding to God's Word, of confession of sin and faith, of testimonies to God's grace, of the offering of ourselves afresh to Him, and of drawing near to Him in the Eucharist. We go out strengthened, uplifted, inspired, and empowered to be His hands and feet in this broken world.

What is the community like?
We are a diverse family of faith, multi-generational and multi-cultural. We come from various faith backgrounds. We are friendly and caring. As the Body of Christ we journey together through this life, supporting and encouraging each other to greater acts of faith.

What if I'm not a Christian?
You will be welcomed, and you will be invited to participate in the life of our congregation. You will be encouraged to find that the One you have been looking for has been waiting patiently for you. Let our family become yours.
