What are services like?
On Sunday mornings throughout the year, we gather for worship at 8:00am and 10:00am, with parish-wide Christian education and formation opportunities for all ages (nursery–adult). There is no dress code. On any given Sunday, you will see suits and jeans, dresses and pants. During the 10:00 AM service childcare is available for infants and children up to the age of 6 years old. Contact Felicia Cole our Director of Children's and Youth Ministry for more information. Choosing to visit a church can be intimidating. Will I know anyone? Will they mention Jesus? Will I be forced to stand up? Can I make it through the sermon? Questions like these and so many more might be swirling. St. Francis welcomes all who come through our doors. What is the community like?
Our mission at St. Francis Episcopal Church & Day School is to be a loving community that nurtures those who seek to follow Jesus Christ and to respond faithfully to God’s call to ministry in the world. In particular, we strive to embody the Franciscan virtues of simplicity, compassion, and hope as honest, beautiful, and true expressions of a faithful life.

What if I'm not a Christian?
St. Francis welcomes all who come through our doors. We welcome those who have never dreamed of going to church and those who arrive early every Sunday. We welcome those with screaming children and those with teenagers too smart for their own good. We extend a special welcome to those living through times of transition and those who have called North Carolina home all their lives.
