About Us

Where Christ is the Center of It All

Southfield Reformed Presbyterian Church (RPCNA) strives to declare the whole counsel of God, emphasizing the historic Biblical faith proclaimed by the Protestant Reformers, English Puritans, and Scottish Covenanters. We seek to worship God according to His Word, to grow in holiness, and to cultivate love and fellowship together as individuals and families. In addition, it is our aim to serve the greater community as salt and light, bearing witness to the Jesus Christ as the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, and the only Savior of men.

As our Lord desires His Church to openly confess His truth and to guard against error, we publicly affirm the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms as agreeable to the Scriptures. In addition to these doctrinal statements, we adhere to the Testimony of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America as a continuing application of these historic truths to contemporary life.

What to Expect

What are services like?
We believe that God’s Word clearly sets forth how He is to be worshiped. Following the Apostolic pattern, our worship centers upon Biblical preaching and joyful Psalm-singing, without the aid of musical instruments. On the second Sunday of each month, our morning service is followed by a fellowship luncheon, after which there is a communion service from 2-3pm.

What if I'm not a Christian?
“The one true goal or resting-place where doubt and weariness, the stings of a pricking conscience, and the longings of an unsatisfied soul would all be quieted, is Christ himself. Not the church, but Christ. Not doctrine, but Christ. Not forms, but Christ. Not ceremonies, but Christ; Christ the God-man, giving His life for ours; sealing the everlasting covenant, and making peace for us through the blood of His cross; Christ the divine storehouse of all light and truth, ‘In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge’ (Colossians 2:3); Christ the infinite vessel, filled with the Holy Spirit, the Enlightener, the Teacher, the Quickener, the Comforter, so that: ‘of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace’ (John 1:16). This, this alone is the vexed soul's refuge, its rock to build on, its home to abide in till the great tempter be bound and every conflict ended in victory.” Horatius Bonar, Words to Winners of Souls
