Land of the Sky UCC is an emerging, progressive community of faith seeking to serve the still-speaking God by living justly, loving abundantly, and walking humbly in the ways of Jesus. We are co-pastored by two women who are also mothers to young children. At Land of the Sky UCC, we are people of extravagant welcome. Whether you are young or old, gay or straight, single or partnered, happy or sad, confused or inspired, street smart or college educated--whether you can't pay your bills or have more than enough to share, no matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome at Land of the Sky UCC!

What to Expect

What are services like?
We meet at 9:15am on Sunday mornings and follow an order of worship which includes a centering song, invocation, opening song, time with children, passing of the peace, reading from the Hebrew Scriptures and New Testament, the message, song of response, time of prayer, time for giving, closing song, and blessing. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month. We dress casual, we are very friendly, and our theology is progressive. We are co-pastored by women pastors who both have a passion for justice. Following worship, we offer Godly Play for our young children, Echo the Story for our Middle School Children and Adult Education.

What is the community like?
We are warm and friendly. We are inclusive and gay friendly. We have lots of families with young children. We are a community that cares for one another and is eager to welcome newcomers. We seek to reflect the extravagant welcome of God.

What if I'm not a Christian?
No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome at Land of the Sky UCC. If you do not identify as Christian, you are more than welcome to worship with us and see whether our community of faith might be the place where you engage and grow spiritually.
