A small church with a big heart for making disciples and engaging in mission

Lake Shore United Methodist Church is nestled in a beautiful wooded area along Electric Blvd. in Avon Lake, Ohio. For almost 60 years we have been faithful in transmitting the word of God, we’ve planted seeds of faith, nurtured and cared for many people and we continue to plant seeds and make and mature disciples in the name of Christ for the transformation of the world. We are a small church but we have a big heart for risk-taking missions, passionate and inspiring worship. We would love for you to come and visit. All people are welcome and we will grace you with our radical hospitality.

What to Expect

What are services like?
We use multimedia such as iworship to add a contemporary blend to our traditional service. Our church bulletin is a user friendly guide to enhance worship through the use of liturgy and prayers. We utilize the organ as well as the piano in singing hymns and other songs of praise. On occasion we invite a local praise band to lead us in worship but primarily we blend tradition with contemporary music on Sunday.

What is the community like?
We are a multi-generational community of faith. We are a caring, open, friendly, hospitable Christian community.

All God's children are welcome at Lake Shore and we invite you to explore with us what it means to be a Christian and to live out one's faith.
