What people say about First Christian Church in Clarkston, Washington

  • Attended Sunday, April 7. This church is located adjacent to Foster Park in Clarkston, WA. Clarkston has a homeless population. I believe this is one church, perhaps others, that extends the grace of God to those afflicted by circumstance, mental illness, drug abuse, and/or the criminal justice system. I witnessed a young man afflicted in some way, but who had faith to come and be a part of the church. Toward the end of the service as believers went forth to share in the bread wine sacrament semi-circling in the rear waiting in unity to partake of the sacrament, the young man stood with the sojourners in Christ, but without the bread and wine. A thoughtful, caring woman approached him giving him her sacrament in hand so he too could solemnize as part of the church the great sacrifice of Christ Jesus. I thought of the widow’s mite who gave what she had as an offering. The young man’s humble self standing there in his affliction without sacrament was all that had to give. His faith, like the widow, was the greatest of all who gave. The kind woman who extended the hand of fellowship to him the second greatest of all.

  • I've given up on getting a shower. A woman insisted I come in today, then another woman showed up and went coo-coo about how the other woman should not let anyone in and on and on until I left now didn't she? It was so pleasant I can't stand to go back! Thanks ever so much!
