I just sent a long message to Cornerstone on New Dorp Lane but if I am needed anywhere that is OK
I will love anyone perhaps they will share what I texted with you because it was fairly long and I am not up to texting a new message/resume.
The biggest thing for me is getting on a worship team but I will do anything to help -
I love the church especially the worship songs. I have gone to the 11 am service 2 Sundays in a row. I am easily recognizable because I always wear a Panama Hat or if it’s cold a black “Rocky” hat and I join wholeheartedly in singing. I was in the choir at Salem Church for 8 years and I hope I can get a chance to audition for the worship team I am willing to sing bass,baritone, some tenor and although I can sing soprano pretty well I will hold my tongue if it comes up. I can do superb falsetto I worked with Kirsten when she was the choir director at Salem and I can follow direction I can sing with energy, power and force if needed If I can’t make the team you will definitely hear me singing above the rest of the congregation and I enjoy singing beautiful songs too. Eg: “I Can Only Imagine”. I’ve heard that worship songs are 3x more powerful than pray I love the Pastor, as of this writing I have 86 days sober and around day 50 I had a spiritual awakening, contrary to what some jealous old timers think. I go to spiritual 12 step meetings also where G*D is the higher power, Jesus Christ is the higher power and I don’t believe you can make a door knob or something else equally absurd your higher power but if it works for someone who am I to judge. Obviously the good thing is they are sober and won’t kill somebody in a drunk accident or something else Too each his own. For me it has and will always be Jesus Christ.
I am available to help in any way. I am a great organizer, I can drive, I am very strong and once I start something I finish it
In the next 3 weeks I am going to memorize every Psalm, I read the Bible in five days (450 minutes aloud, 550 a minute silently and I remember most of what I read.
I can be counted on, If I say I am going to be somewhere I shoe up and if I say I am going to do something I do it I would be an asset to your church, I am affable,loving(untill it hurts) compassionate,giving and even if someone puts me down “ I realize some are sicker than others and they deserve pray too
I don’t do people pleasing anymore and what others think of me is none of my business Maybe because I have tried everything from traveling to 42 countries,unicycling,expert at meditation,climbing,survivalist.rock climbing,piloting planes,skydiving,dying, it just goes on and on and I am tooting my own horn but with an IQ of 150 and a love of learning and so much free time and no longer self conscious and I will fight for anyone knowing I have Jesus by my side.
