We gather in downtown Greensboro for worship. We scatter throughout the community to serve. Our aim is to ENGAGE with our community and with one another in relationship, to ENCOUNTER God through his son Jesus, and to EQUIP followers of Christ in their knowledge and application of his word. We are a crowd of imperfect people who have been shown mercy and grace from God. We long to honor Him and to welcome you into our community.

What to Expect

What are services like?
Our services are all about the person of Jesus. We value authenticity. We sing new songs as well as old hymns - all aimed at being faithful to God's word and engaging the mind and the heart. We value being part of the historic church, meaning, we know we're not the first ones to worship Jesus. We read scripture, recite creeds, pray as a congregation, confess our sin and worship through giving. The pastor preaches sermons centered in the Bible passage and applicable to our lives. The service lasts an hour and fifteen minutes. The congregation is happily multi-generational.

What is the community like?
We are college students, parents, singles, toddlers and teens, wise sages and children of all ages. Some come from a long history of belonging to a church, some are brand new to the experience, some are cautious about trying church again. Wherever you're coming from we invite you to join us.

What if I'm not a Christian?
Those who are exploring the Christian faith are respected and welcome at Christ Church Greensboro. We recognize that we are all at different places when it comes to knowledge of Christianity and we strive to make our worship services and sermons accessible to people at all places along the spectrum.
