  • I attend Allensville Church of the Brethren when I'm not traveling and consider it "my church." My great grandma and my Dad were baptized here, my aunt and I were both married here. I love the small size and proximity to home of this church. It has an older congregation, with many of the women wearing prayer caps. Folks dress casually, some in dresses and dress pants, others in nice jeans. They sing traditional hymns which I love because I grew up with them and know the words and tunes. Pastor Green gives a good, easy-to-understand sermon with good takeaways. The church family is very humble and kind. It feels like home.
